E-marketing is taking an existing product, getting the resell rights, then branding and selling it for whatever price you feel the market will demand.

I’ve wasted a lot of time in my Internet marketing efforts by purchasing electronic products that really sounded promising, but they continuously collected dust in my downloads file.  I wasn’t totally in proficient. In a lot of cases, I actually unzipped some of these products and dropped their components into nicely organized folders.

But, I had a major disconnect.  These were products that interested me.  And, they were products that I intended to market and sell.  You know, actually use them to make some money!  I would get PDF files, index.html files, text files, DOC files, flash video files, PDF files, GIF files.  The best I could really do was drop some e-book covers into my business picture files to hopefully later use somehow and somewhere.

A few months ago, I made a fairly good decision when I invested into a HostGator account and started using CPanel.  CPanel is used by a lot of different hosting companies. Like a lot of things in life, you just have to take the time and effort via trial and error to learn some of the great aspects of something brand new to you. Anyway, suffice it to say, that I started teaching myself how to use the File Manager and what it really meant to have you own hosting.

I have other websites, but I’ve never had the opportunity to explore the file structure of my own hosted website.  I’ve used GoDaddy with their Website Tonight program that I simply loved, but I could never update anything to my site via FTP (File Transfer Protocol).  I was limited in what I could do. I still have a financial services site hosted on Web.com with the same limitations.

So, I’ve managed to teach myself a little bit in the past three months.  I now understand how to do an FTP.

My other struggle was with HTML.  I never studied HTML.  There were times when I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get the spacing I wanted between lines on my WordPress blog.  I learned the power of < /br>, or a simple carriage return.

I was at least smart enough to download a copy of the NVU HTML editor, but got frustrated when I tried to create a simple squeeze landing page.  So, I did my best to use what I know about WordPress pages to create something that looks like a squeeze or landing page. It serves a purpose, but I know I can do better. I can drop HTML into my page to create an opt-in form, but the spacing and stuff are really hit and miss.  And, if I want to use a picture on that page, it just seems to generate more frustration.

Well, I’m happy to say that I finally know how to properly build a squeeze or landing page in NVU.  I invested a small amount of money in a video training program called “List Building Tutorials for Newbies.”  I already had experience with Auto-Responders, so there wasn’t a lot of value there for me.  However, it still provided a very valuable review on relationship marketing, how to properly use and space your e-mails to your members, and the importance of understanding how to service their needs.

For me, the real value was in the instructor’s tutorial on using NVU to develop a landing page: how to first outline it in NVU, how to develop your title and bullets and why, how to research and pick keywords and pictures to place on the page, and how to place the code for a sign-up form and link it back to your Auto-Responder campaign. Then, finally, how to dress it up to look professional. And, I know enough about index.html to know that I can create a sub-domain on one of my WordPress blogs (like land.mydomainname.com … where I simply upload my new file’s index.html page to that “land” file, and I have a hosted squeeze landing page).  It’s just awesome. And, it doesn’t interfere of have any impact on my blog/website. In this case mydomainname.com.

The point here is that this training program connected a lot of dots that I was missing. My self taught experience with CPanel and its file structure helped.  My learned by experience ability to do a simple FTP also helped.  But, the piece I was missing was in HTML.  The “List Building Tutorials for Newbies” provided me that magic bullet that enabled me to take my business to its next level.

Here is a link to the e-product that I find so extremely valuable to my business.  As you will see, I am offering this product to the ACME People Search community at an extremely reduced price.  And, because you are a visitor to my site, I’m going to extend this offer to you as well.  I want you to make this work for you.
