Talk Fusion: A Stand Alone Internet Home Business

Posted on August 17th, 2011 by Rick

Custom Templates at Talk FusionIf you are not into building websites or splash pages and do not want to bother learning Search Engine Optimization, this may be a great Internet Home Business for you! In my opinion, this is a great stand alone Internet home business!

The business is called Talk Fusion. So far, I’ve spent about four days evaluating it.  I like what I see.  The capabilities of the platform are remarkable.  The video conferencing feature allows up to 15 live streams at a time.  I saw it with my own eyes. I was simply amazed!  Yet, it was still a bit hard to believe.  I know a little about bandwidth; and, streaming takes a lot of bandwidth.  I have never seen anything like this.

I’ve reviewed and participated in conferences with other video conferencing platforms. I’ve been a firm believer in GVO Conference. I believe it offers the best price point for value offered.  Yet, there are some professional attributes that I feel lacking.  With that said, it’s a great value for what it offers!

I’m a bit turned off with some of  the larger and better known companies like Webex and GotoMeeting.  While they have attractive free or low cost offers, they quickly pile on expenses once they have your attention.  In my opinion, and I’ll continue to test, Talk Fusion appears to be less pretentious service and offers far greater value for your money.  And, they offer the best solution for folks that want to build in Internet home business! Particularly when you throw in video email.  Video email offers a fantastic opportunity to promote your internet home business!

In fact, I liked it so much, I joined.  I’m a new business member.  I can market it as a high demand video marketing suite and sell it to others.  Plus, I will use these tools for my own marketing needs.  Let me explain a little on why I think so much of this stand alone Internet home business.  First of all, I firmly believe that anyone can use it, but also sell it.  That is important.  A platform like this should be so easy to use that even a novice can step in and start earning money.

Secondly, it has to have a proven track record of earnings.  I needed someone to tell my how they are making money and how long it took them to do it. I wanted to interview several people in the business.  I wanted to hear their story and personal evaluation of the business.  This proved to be easier than expected.  No sooner did I specify an interest, I received phone calls from three different people.  No one tried to sell me on this Internet home business.  They simply thanked me for my interest, and asked me some basic things about my business.  Then, they offered their stories on how and why they got started and how they currently grow their business.  They also let me know that they were there to help me if I decided to join.  They are very good at relationship marketing.

Another question I asked is this; can I and my readers duplicate the success of someone else?  In other words, do you have a system in place that already works and do you have written procedures that someone can follow?  Hey, I don’t believe you should  ’recreate the wheel.’  I would much rather a wheel already be  in place.  But, I do like to build upon it to meet my particular needs.  I was happily surprised that they do!

Plus, they have a very active support group on Facebook.  This is where people share experiences and ideas.  There are over 700 active members in this group.  That sends a positive signal to me that there are a lot of people making money and really enjoying their venture in this Internet home business opportunity.

Finally, I like to check out the back office.  This is where a home based business builder will get a feel for the professionalism and maturity of the business and for their support platform; or the lack of professionalism if applicable. The back office exceeded my expectations.  And, the support materials are state-of-the-art.  I’m not going to write much on the products at this time.

Rather, I’ve chosen to provide an example.  Just below is a video e-mail that took me all of 5 minutes to build.  All I had to do was choose a template (there are a ton of them).  In fact, you’ll see a few of the available templates in this video. The video itself is just one of many the company provided professional videos.  This is huge value, based on my experiences.  I also had the opportunity to import video, either from a file or a webcam, or create one using my web camera.  It’s an amazing platform!  And, that’s just one of eight features that are included.

But, let me provide some cautionary thoughts!  I’m not big on hype!  If someone tells me that I can make $3,000 – $5,000 a month by simply staying in my PJ’s 24-hours a day, they are going to instantly raise those little hairs on the back of neck and lose my attention.  There is no such “animal” on this great earth.  I’ll be writing more on their amazing  soft sales and support strategy.  But, for now, just watch this video with my words of caution in mind!

It’s becoming a lot more challenging.  If you are building an Internet Home Business, and have built your website or preferably blog, you probably understand how difficult it is to drive traffic to your website.  That is exactly why you need to know some basics about Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Without this basic knowledge,  I dare say you will not be successful with your Internet home business!

Don’t worry about becoming an expert!  All you really need to know is some basic principles; and keep up with the latest updates on how this stuff effects the basic principles of SEO and you…  your Internet home business!  My job is to make this as simple as possible for you!  Obviously,  you are going to have questions.  Just post them in the comments section at the end of this post!  That’s what blogging is all about.  A blog is an interactive  content management system that allows and encourages interaction… people sharing ideas and learning from one another.  If you listen, I can coach!  I know this stuff and I keep up with all the latest developments.

Let me tell you a little story.  It’s real and it just happened today.  I reviewed a few content management systems today for a friend who happens to be a major personality in the classic rock industry.  By content management systems, I mean websites and Facebook fan pages.  He uses WordPress themes for his blogs/websites and has some awesome fan pages with lots of members.  He kicks out content!  And, that is key!  He really knows the Internet marketing business and he uses it to grow his business.

His marketing concept couples his fame in the music business with his strong interest in the fitness and nutrition industry.  Actually, I was a bit surprised that he built his own sites. LOL  They are really fantastic!

But, and this is a big “but” for we that struggle to build our own Internet home businesses; his name and notoriety are enough to drive a huge amount of traffic to his sites!  His SEO knowledge is significantly low.   Yet his page rank for Google is high. We don’t have that luxury!  He is a completely down to earth person who is willing to listen to smart ideas.  I provided some recommendations today, and he was open and welcomed them.  I hope and trust that you are the same!

The point here… the bottom line… the thing that can get you over the top and get you ahead of a successful  rock star is this; learn enough about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to give yourself a fighting chance.  If you willing to learn, I am willing to teach!  The major advantage I offer is that I know what it takes to get started at a very basic level!  Just ask, and I will share!

Build Your Internet Home Business with SEO! More Tips

It is simply amazing! Learning to build an Internet Home Business is a real challenge.  The landscape is slippery. You want to drive people or traffic to your website, but the rules keep changing!

How can you ever keep up with these changes?  You can start by communicating and interacting on this blog, or you can search the Internet on a daily basis to get some ideas on how to build a Internet home business!

There are several common denominators you should look for.  The most important is what the heck is Google doing?  There is a lot hype right now on Google Plus 1.  But, what are their search algorithms doing that can impact you business right now?  This all assumes you have branded yourself with a business website.  If you have not, do it!  This is your branded identity in this virtual world.  You have to have a website!

The next common denominator reflect changes with how Google ranks you website.  The magic term here is Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  The better optimized your website, the more traffic or visitors the search engine will send you.

Are you following me so far? Do you believe in this?  If not, go read some comics or perhaps play some of your favorite video games.  Because, if you do not believe in this, you are wasting your time!  And, mine!

Hey, I love all my readers!  I want to see you succeed in Internet marketing. But, you have to take this stuff seriously to succeed!   Here is an SEO  tip a learned the other day that can be a huge value in your attempt to build an Internet home business.

Google wants you to site authority sources. When you think about it, it just makes good common sense!  You can write whatever it is you want to write, but if you do not have good quality or authoritative sources to back you up, you are missing a huge opportunity to do things the right way.  Think about those high school and college papers you wrote.  You had to site your sources… right?  This is the same thing!

And, it’s not difficult to do in today’s Internet world.  In fact, it’s rather easy.  Here is an example.  Let’s say I want to write an article on Google Local Search.  And, I’m in the process of doing that on my website.  All I have to do is open another browser window, go to Google search and type in the keyword Google Local Search.  See what comes up, then use your own intellect to find a good authoritative article that relates well to what you are talking about in your article.

So, let me do that… I typed in “google local search” and starting scanning the articles that came up.  The third article looked interesting.  It reads: “Guide to Local Search.”  It has a page rand of 3, so I click on this article.  Three isn’t as high as I would like to go, but you might be better siting  a source that is closer to your own page ranking.

Actually, this article does not tell me anything I don’t already know, but I’m going to site it anyway to show you what I mean, and how to do this.

This is what I do. I introduce the subject I’m talking about.  Once again, that is Google Local Search.  Let’s call that my keyword.  I want to anchor my text on that keyword and point to the article I am siting.  Here is how I do it:

“Google has changed it’s search algorithm to favor local business.  Here is a great article article on Google Local Search in SmallBussinessSem.com.  Now, place your cursor over “Google Local Search” and look down in the bottom left corner of your page.  You will see the actual URL of this article.  That is how you build an authoritative source link into your article!

Practice this approach when you write about anything, and wait to see the amount of traffic you get in return.  Stay tuned for more Tips on how to drive traffic to your website!

Google Likes Simple Search Engine Optimization Strategies

Posted on June 3rd, 2011 by Rick

Google search engineHere are some great tips on how to build your Internet home business!  Nothing like getting it from the proverbial “horse’s mouth!”  Internet marketing is not  terribly hard to do if you keep it simple.  Here is a great video from Google engineer, and often spokesperson for this preeminent search engine company, Matt Cutts.

Matt was recently interviewed by USA Today.  He talks about how to get your home business site or small business website to the top of Google with 5 basic, common sense SEO… Search Engine Optimization tips.

This isn’t rocket science.  These are just great tips on how to build your internet home business simply by using some common sense techniques like thinking about what people will type into a Google search box to find a business.

Matt also stresses the need to have your Meta tags filled out… in particular, you site’s description tag.  The rule I always use is to complete the title tag with a keyword phrase.  Then, take that same keyword phrase and use it in you description tag.

Here is an example.  If your title is “how to build an internet home business,”  your description should include the keyword phrase “how to build an internet home business.”  Your title should be less than 70 characters and your description less than 160 characters.  So, write something like this in your description: “We provide tools and tips on how to build an internet home business. Visit our site to learn how to build an internet home business today!”

In this case, I was actually able to use my keyword phrase twice.  And, that is simply awesome!  Try it yourself!

Here is Matt’s interview!  Enjoy and Comment!

The Benefits of Web Hosting and What it Can Do for You!

Posted on May 21st, 2011 by Alex

The Benefits of Web Hosting are many.  Yet, there are a lot of people that do not truly understand this huge value.

They are mostly individuals entering into an Internet Home Business for the first time, and Web Hosting is a big question mark.

They don’t understand the true value of OWNING their own website.  The only way to truly do that is by hosting their website. Web hosting is a critical element of building an Internet home business.

WordPress Hosting on HostGatorIt’s a little like renting versus buying.  If you want to build  your own business, would you rather own your store or rent it from someone else.  The choice is clear.  If you rent your store, your landlord has the authority to literally terminate your business.  Web hosting provides you ownership of your business.  Plus, it is so darn inexpensive today, that anyone wanting to build an Internet home business should take the time to learn about Web Hosting.

Have you ever wondered why web hosting services seem to be in demand and are big business these days?  The answer is quite simple.  They are the perfect outlet for businesses that want to see a profit in their services and sales.  Many people still do not understand this concept or why they need to invest money to obtain web hosting.

The main factor in web hosting is its enabling effect to get you and your business visible on the web.

Web hosting is technology that helps promote your business, product, services, content or whatever you want others to know about you and make it accessible to the world wide market.  And, realistically, reaching this audience takes very little investment compared with traditional routes businesses take to draw in customers and clients.  It is ideal for start up companies, charities, or any business working with a shoestring budget.

Another huge advantage of web hosting is it gives your business the opportunity to compete with all of the big businesses in the world.

This takes you to a higher playing level than just competing with local businesses in your area or local region.  And because the internet is a level playing ground for everyone, you will have a huge opportunity to receive just as many visitors (traffic) as the other well known companies that have spent millions in advertising.

Regardless of the industry you are in, finding the right web hosting package that fits your needs is worth the time, effort and money.  It is a relatively simple step to take that can result in great results for your business and the services or products you offer.

As with anything, take your time to do research on the web hosting providers available to you.  With an overall minimum effort on your part, you can achieve great things via web hosting.

Speed is of the Essence

Posted on May 21st, 2011 by Alex

Once upon a time, there was the World Wide Wait. Today, speed is of the essence.

It took, in some cases, minutes to load each page (remember the good old “Please wait while we upload art” from AOL?).

Go back even just a decade and your internet browsing was a frustrating experience. Now, of course, we have come to accept fast downloads of media as large as a film in double-quick time.

But there’s no room for complacency if you run your own website. Now that we’re all used to broadband, few people are prepared to wait for your page to load.

That two or three second load time for your fancy home page, can it really make all the difference? Well, yes it can.

There is a general rule of thumb among most webmasters. This rule states that you must be able to show your visitor what your website is about within seven seconds. It claims that this includes load time and that you take much more risk of having them leave your website if it takes much longer.

Showing this within seven seconds is hard enough, even if the website loads instantly. But if you have a website taking four or five seconds, then that is even less time you have to accomplish this.

A bad web hosting company can lead to lost conversions, whether that is converting the visitor into a sale or a return visitor. A good web hosting company with quality web servers will be able to give your visitors a lower load time. This is invaluable really for your overall goal of conversions.

You can typically tell what kind of load time the web hosting company might offer by looking at their own business website. More than likely they host their own website from the datacenter. If you see that their website is loading slow, or perhaps not loading at all, you should steer clear.

Another good thing to look for or even ask for is a download test. Many companies are putting up relatively small files so that you can see what kind of speeds you can expect.

If they do not have one up publicly you can always ask their sales representatives.

In fact, this is a good way to see what type of support they have which is also a factor you should take into account when finding a web hosting company.

WordPress Plugins: Basic Onsite SEO Optimization (Part 4 of 4)

Posted on April 19th, 2011 by Rick

I have been getting a lot of great feedback on this video series.  And, I’ve been getting it from people that I respect… which makes it even better and more rewarding.  There is no better feeling than getting recognized by your peers with a little “thank-you.”

This is the final video in the series on WordPress Plugins: Basic Onsite SEO Optimization.  Once again, I’m relying on Google to set the parameters for what is right and what is wrong in Internet marketing.  Yes, I’ve placed a lot of confidence in this company.  But, having been in a self-regulating industry (Insurance)  for over 15 years I start to develop a feeling for basic industry standards.  In the Insurance industry, these are know as ‘compliance.’  And, compliance sets some basic rules.  This differs from Ethics, but that is a completely different story… though I find Ethics highly appropriate to the Internet marketing community as well.

Suffice it to say at this point, that Google has set some industry standards that need to be adhered to.  The three plugins covered in this video all fall within the pervue of Internet marketing compliance.  I hope you enjoy and adhere to them:

WordPress Plugins: Basic Onsite SEO Techniques (Part 3)

Posted on April 17th, 2011 by Rick

Onsite Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become a science.  It’s measurable/quantifiable!  It’s easily learned and taught!  But, like any science… if you fail to learn the basics of that science, you are sure to fail!  You just can’t jump into a 200 level course until you’ve mastered the 100 course level.

These are basic SEO fundamentals.  Take a little time and work through these lessons.  If you do, you will not only learn some valuable skills, you will also develop an extremely sound foundation on which to build an Internet home business!

This next video, Part 3, focuses on two WordPress plugins: Platinum SEO Pak and Simple Facebook Like!  There is a lot of voodoo in both these plugins, and this voodoo translates to visitors to your site!   Premium SEO Pak is a fantastic plugin that should be used to set-up your basic (Meta) Title, Description and Keywords.  Plus, it enables and reminds you to do the same for every post or article you publish on your site.

The Simple Facebook Like plugin enables you to place that viral Like button on every post you make.  When some hits that button for you, then announce to their all their Facebook friends that you just published something of value!  This potentially provides you an enormous boost in popularity.  And, Google loves popularity!
